Playground is an artist-led platform in Oxford that promotes new art by offering a space for interaction and collaboration through bi-monthly events. Since 2012, it has supported over 70 art projects, featuring a diverse range of creative practices from performance to illustration.
An ever-evolving sonic exploration, Ioannina Polyphonia incorporates guerilla field recordings of both the urban and rural environments of the Greek city of Ioannina, blending them with the city's historical and literary context. A segment of the recorded performance from The Old Fire Station was also played by Oxford Contemporary Music on May 1st, 2014, during the Lord Mayor’s Celebration at Gloucester Green in Oxford, with support from the Oxford Preservation Trust.
